30 PSI for enough hours seemed to do the trick. But I suspect I might have made a massive mistake....

    Kegging is much too convenient!
    Primary: APA
Bottled: Quad, tripel, K@K red ale
Keg 1: Weiss. 2: Weiss. Keg 3: Air. Keg 4: Air

Yes 30psi for 24 to 36 h works for me. Kegging calls for more brewing OR bigger batches, thats my op

I use cornys, so my standard 18 liter out of fermenter fills the keg nicely, so I do not have to scale up to fill a keg.

The beer line is a little expensive. A touch over R4k for that. Just need the gas bottle and regulator from Bevan and he said he might have some 2nd hand taps.

When I'm all set and the first keg has beer in it you can come over for a taster
Can you give me more details on the beer-out and gas-in john guest connectors ? I assume 3/8 on pipe side and 1/2" BSP on the beer-out port on the coupler? But what on the gas-in? Or is that the other way round?
I have to buy off a web site and I'm not visualising what I need properly to order correctly.

          Pictures will help..................

Some feedback, finally got the fridge and boy did I measure this thing perfect (thanks google sketchup). Will easily fit 6 kegs. but for now it will be 3 kegs and space to lager plus there is some more space for bottles and some for yeast!

Now the next big question. How high should I mount the taps on the front door?

            3 kegs in the bottom,

Only 2 kegs in the bottom, the one still has a few odd liters IPA in so that is in the other fridge for the moment.

              @ Die Baas.
I only have picknic taps... BUT if I have a foam challenge I elevate the tap to help with balance. So I wil say higher is better. Although good psi management, cold lines and the right line length are prolly better practice than hight if taps are fixed.

Mounted the first tap over the weekend. I'm still in the planning phases on how I want the fridge to look but I couldn't not add the tap for reasons. In the end there will be 6 taps so I measured and marked 6. I used the chassis punch I got to put a ball valve on my urn to cut the hole through the door. With a little more elbow grease and a round file I got a tight fit. I didn't use the nut that came with the tap because the shank is a little short. But the nipple is holding the tap in place.

I threaded the gas through the rear drain hole so no other holes to be drilled on the side or back

<== (I command you to show)

I got 3 heights, one for the top of a future drip tray. Measure 100mm from the top of the bottom plastic trimming. Then on top of that took the height of my tallest beer glass (Amstel) and that would be the bottom of the tap so that the Amstel glass can still stand on the drip tray without touching the spout. The taps are 80mm center to center. This allows my widest glass (Hansa Pilsner) to comfortably fit and 6 taps would fit exactly on a 400mm drip tray and can still reach the flow control

It is working well but there is so much more to do...

Thanks Atron, I only have the T-split and the connector on the regulator. Those are nice keg connector you got there

To make life easier, you can also get the JG stuff at h2o shops. Slightly closer than driving to Pta.

I'll have a look. Harties and Brits don't have much variety. Usually just filter canisters.
