  • Lion lager

Has anyone tried the Lion lager thats currently avaliable at liquor stores?
I really want to get the recipe, its bland enough that with any additions it should make a decent lager.

To me it's closer to a pilsner and comes nowhere near to what I remember a NO17 should be from the 80's

    Nice easy drinking lawn-mowing beer

    EDIT:
How about just brewing this one with a lager yeast ??

Had one for the first time now when it came back last weekend. Ver dry and crisp where as in the old days it was closer to black label. Perhaps even a tad sweeter even.

Possible, but its one of those subtle beers (very hard to taste anything, other than confirming its a beer).

Nottingham's Pilsner came second at SA On Tap yesterday and I rated it better than the winner.

              Just saying............

Seems like they managed 1 good batch then.... They were my goto for years, but the last couple of years it was just one disappointment after the other. Had a LOT of Tiddly Toad or as my kids calls it "paddabier". Bought one again a few weeks back just to check again....and still the same!
