Weird brewing/distilling questions/advice?

With everyone seemingly going crazy to start brewing something, what is the strangest questions or advice you have had to give?

One of my favorite questions would be why is my wash bitter, I know I left the pits in when you said take them out, but that's not the cause, so what did I do wrong?
Weirdest advice: I wouldn't drink the the blue distillate but if you really want to you could, but it might poison you. So if you do drink it, do so outside an emergency room.

"If I can't get yeast to make our pineapple beer, can I use baking powder and vinegar instead?"

Supposedly it also makes bubbles, so it's the same as yeast, right?
