Talking about corks do you know where one can get champagne corks and wire? I've been itching to do something fancy beer related for December. Something like: this http://www.maltosefalcons.com/tech/m...ampenoise-beer
      Primary: APA
Bottled: Quad, tripel, K@K red ale
Keg 1: Weiss. 2: Weiss. Keg 3: Air. Keg 4: Air
      Next up: world domination

I contacted them too and got the same response. I was looking for the smaller bottles though (375ml). I think you can get 750ml champaign bottles at the Consol shop in Stellenbosch by the case quite easily. That or Bonpak also has (I think).

I'm struggling to find the smaller bottles available in smaller quantities though

yeah the quantities are the problem, you will need to fork out 3299,5 exc Vat. Just for the caps, Cork, and whire and then you end up with a 1000 caps and corks, and 2700 wires lol

Thanks for all the feedback regarding the corks. I have a new plan. Drink lots of J.C. le Roux or crash a wedding and take some bottles. Cap with normal caps, bottle ferment for 2-3 months, degorge and put new swing top bottle caps on and wrap in foil.

Where can you buy swing top bottle caps? What kind of bottles can they fit onto?
