What is the candle to grain ratio? Have also heard this before.. I have an issue with my fishing bait ingredients, also read about this. What I did do was freeze the ingredients, that also helps kill anything that might be present. I also don't really mind the extra protein, but yeah not sure if that will be acceptable in the beer circles.. yeasties and some goggas to taste.

Just tell them it's a traditional brew. The gogga's add an umami flavour and nicely rounds out the bitterness from the hops.

I have searched the forum and web, couldn’t find anything.

Can someone please tell me how to use caustic soda to clean my urn. Just use rubber gloves?

Read somewhere it will kill/remove proteins/tannins if present. Cant find that anymore

Or is there a better option that won’t try to kill me while cleaning?

What is the candle to grain ratio?

A very precise 1 candle per vessel. But obviously vessel size needs to be carefully sized at between 1L and 50L
