  • Devils Peak - zero to hero

I think this is one of the better alcohol free beers out there.
I’m not a fan of becks at all.
Then caslte free came along. Much better. But still after about 3 or 4 beers, it leaves a funny taste in your mouth.
I then tried this alcohol free beer from devils peak, and i was blown away.
So at a function that was quite far my home i wanted to have beer without the risk of making an accident, or getting pulled over.
    Along came this beer.
Citrus forward, hoppy, and an overall very enjoyable beer.
Now for those who have been doing the 0% or 0.5% stuff, they all tend to leave a funny taste in your mouth after a few.
I had 5 of these, and 1 Windhoek, and none of that funny tastes.
They are hard to find though.
On Saturday, i went to a braai. So the idea was to pack 2 real beers, and get a 6 pack of these. Could not find any. Went to pnp liquor, spar tops, and checkers liquor. Eventually ended up buying castle free again.

I’m really hoping that other craft breweries will pick up on this and bring some more variety to this emerging (and responsible) trend.

They are generally easiest to find at Woolworths in my experience.

Great news, thanks man! I've been getting at Castle Free for a bit when driving but it's got a strange aftertaste to me, same as Becks and Bavaria. It's like you can taste they heated it up to evaporate the alcohol and it changed the hop profile. Will give this one a try when I see it, for sure!

Can't find this anywhere. Will need to search more Woolies outlets, but so far no luck. Not even large bottle stores with large amounts of craft has it
