Agh Jigsaw, bin through this procedure gawd knows
how many times, to no avail! These are cellphone
videos/vimeos and attaching a url there seems quite a
mission. Thanks for the support anyway! Just a pity
thye run-up turned somewhat sour.
Nonetheless my set up seems to be working and managed
a liter of gin. Still lots of room for improvement though!

The next batch already brewing and almost ready for the still.
I must say that I am pleasantly surprised with the outcome of
the first batch. I envisaged a whole new learning curve and rocket
science in the making. Although there is still lots of room for
improvement! Like the improved bung that will replace the existing
one,...

Have been meaning to ask this question myself but left it

give some better insight.

Jip Jigsaw has it. The idea is that your coldest cooling water is at the outlet so your product is chilled as low as possible. If you introduce the cold watter where the product is the hottest you only cool to a midpoint where the to fluid Temps are as close as possible to each other
