  • Where did you get your heatsink from for the SSR?

      Looks like communica has some stock of suitable heatsinks (depending on the form factor you're after)

        The element itself has 5 connections. 2 tabbed connectors for the dry boil sensor, 2 connections coming off the actual element heater, and a ground.

        Essentially amounts to just connecting the live and neutral directly to the element connections (making sure that the earth stays connected!)

        I used a 16amp ceramic chocolate block to make sure that that it can handle the current and the heat. A mechanical connection is much less likely to fail that a soldered connection under higher current/heat scenarios.
