    +1 people trapped in the past like to reference books from the past and preach their old gospels. without this history brewing wouldn't be where it is today - doesn't mean you should follow deprecated principles when it was superseded and proven

      Thank you to you all. I really appreciate the info. Best news is my beer is ready to drink next weekend .

      What I gathered:
      1) A (grossly generalised) rule of thumb - Ferment 2 weeks, condition 2 weeks (+- same temperature - optimal for the yeast), enjoy!
      2) A beer book is not a gospel
      3) This is a lekker group
