Fermentation under pressure

Hydraulic pressure is calculated like so.
P= rho x g x h
P is the pressure in pascal
Rhodes is the density of the liquid. In our case water at 1000kg/m3
G it the force of gravity at 9.81m/s2
And h is the height of the liquid in the airlock measured in meters
So 1000x9.81x0.030 =294 pascals
So 0.3KPa
In other words yes we are fermenting under pressure

1 bar is 100KPa. And conveniently also 15psi.
So if you were to add a header pipe of 10m to the air lock we would be in the same ballpark of pressure fermentation.

I'm having a beer or two, it's kark hot and the covidiots are packing it in tight on the beach. It's bloody crowded.
Would a std white bucket withstand 15psi with the 10m header?

Highly doubt that it would. Most likely spilled beer will be at the end of that road

In the event that you have corny kegs with disconnects with the little threaded connection(rather than the barb) I can give you some little jobbies I was playing around with at some stage for pressure fermenting.
Then you can play around with PF at no cost.

Not really. Its not actually a pressure regulating valve, its just a valve with a pressure gauge. A PRV/ PCV is what you need
