  • This my second batch pale ale with south african hops form the racking cockup saga. Much dryer than the first batch - you can taste the alcohol difference. This one FG 1.004 - 6%ABV. The hops are much more pronounced in this one compared to the first batch with a sharper taste.

          • Not mine, wish it was! Cryo citra blonde.
This thing has 13g of whirlpool hops. A little for bittering two, but only 13g "aroma" addition and its Beautiful. Full of flavor! Almost over to the pale ale side of the style.

Note: i had one yesterday that was tapped from a keg into a bottle and stood for 3 days before i got to it. Cryo hops dont like O2. It was empty, couldn't pick up any aroma.

This is an premix American Amber Ale from BG mixed 50/50 w pale ale.
                                Simcoe Chinook for bittering
                                Cascade late addition
                                Citra whirlpool

                                7 days after bottling.
                                Bit of porridge floating around.
Possibly still busy secondary fermenting inside the bottle.
